I just bought these, and the only thing I don’t like about them is that they take a day, and I prefer crops that last a few hours :P.

I want to know if this is supporting native Haitian seed, or if we are replacing their nutritious heirloom seed that yields seed you can replant with sterile GMO garbage that will cause sterility problems. I can’t find ANY information about the program itself and that’s disturbing.

Do you really think that a Haitian kid is going to refuse a bowl of rice because it was GMO? What if a field of the precious ‘native seed’ only yields enough food to last through February, whereas the GMO seed will yield enough for the farmer to feed his family and afford them a few simple luxuries? Stop pushing your values onto people you know nothing about.

Babalu, the problem is one of long-term planning. With GMO seeds you generally can’t collect seeds from the harvest to plant again next season. Instead, you have to buy more seeds from the company that produces them. This is fine for farmers in the USA that have dependable access to capital, but in a poor country like Haiti farmers can’t depend on being able to buy more seeds in the future. What’s more, GMO crops usually require a lot more fertilizer, which is another capital outlay for the farmer. Haitian farmers can’t necessarily sustain that kind of operation, and if they fail then they’re left in a worse situation than they were previously because they have depleted their soil and they have no seed to plant.

These problems are not just theoretical, they have happened many times in the course of well-meaning but poorly planned attempts to increase agricultural yields in poor countries.

it says “Harvest them in 6 hours with 125 coins profit.”
below comments say it takes one full day to harvest. what is correct?
I bought Sweet Potato and it took 24 hours to harvest.
is it the same with Sweet Corn as well?

Well, i didn’t bought it and got that information from the market on farmville game. I think you’ve got is the correct.

Do i have to use these seeds within 7 days only? After that they dissapear? That’s too much for 25 FV$, although they are right for the cause
